A minimalist, image-forward design for an artist of curiosities

Auckland-based artist, Jesse James, creatives quirky, unique 3-dimensional bottle art. Together, we created a clean, modern website to showcase his art to the world
I seldom get to work with a client with better product images than Jesse’s. His clean, professional images of his artwork lent themselves wonderfully to custom-designed product pages that highlighted the images, as well as related work.
We really wanted Jesse’s fantastic artwork and photography to shine, so we minimised distractions. A sidebar keeps his logo, search bar and about info easily accessible while taking a backseat to the gallery.
A lightbox feature allows site visitors to get a better look with the click of a button.
Jesse makes great use of Instagram in promoting his work. An Instagram feed in the website footer shows off his recent work while increasing his following.
