Salt therapy is a holistic alternative therapy practically unheard of in Dubbo, Australia. An innovative young business woman needed a website that would educate her market and sell her ground-breaking service.

The Client

Amy is a firm believer in the benefits of salt therapy. She has seen the huge difference it made to the quality of life of her asthmatic son. Based in Dubbo, Australia, Amy had to drive many hours to take her son to the closest treatment facility. She wanted to make it so that other parents wouldn’t have to do the same.

The Project

Amy wanted to break into a market that knew little about what salt therapy was all about. She needed a website that would not only take bookings for therapy sessions and sell therapeutic salt-related products, but also educate her market in the benefits of her offerings.

The Process

So Salty came to me with little more than a logo and an idea.

We chose a fun and feminine color palette based on the colors of Himalayan salt. The peach and pink tones give a fresh yet warm and welcoming feeling to the site.

So Salty did not have many images of their own, so salt-themed stock images were sourced, with an emphasis on youthful health with a bit of a cheeky sense of humor.

A “Coming Soon” page was put on their url. The actual website was built in real time behind it, allowing So Salty to follow progress and take a hands-on approach on the design and development.
